how munchkinland came to be

Established in 1999, MunchkinLand Preschool was born from a desire to create the kind of preschool experience where every child feels known, cared for, and right at home.

With more than 40 years in Early Childhood Education, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children and families in many different settings. Each experience helped shape my vision for creating a preschool that feels personal, welcoming, and focused on what matters most during these important early years.

That vision became MunchkinLand.

More than 25 years later, those same values remain at the heart of who we are. We continue to believe in low child-to-teacher ratios, strong family connections, and creating a place where children can learn, play, explore, and simply be themselves.

Over the years, we’ve had the joy of watching generations of Reno families become part of the MunchkinLand community. We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of so many Reno families’ lives since 1999, and we look forward to welcoming many more little munchkins through our doors!
